The best week for leftovers is finally here! It’s my favorite time of year not only for eating the leftovers, but also hearing all about them. Leftovers take center stage during the Thanksgiving holiday. There are newspaper articles, magazine stories, news segments, and special posts all about leftovers. Want to know another place for great Thanksgiving leftover discussions-,hair salons!
For my Thanksgiving Leftovers news segment this year, I focused on the two famous casseroles: sweet potato and green bean. I turned them into football ready snacks, like green bean casserole caramelized onion dip and sweet potato crackers.
Oh, and fries! Yes, green bean fries, the best!

It seems even non-leftover lovers fall into the delicious “trap” of Thanksgiving leftovers and everyone seems to have a favorite. My favorite are Stuffed Breakfast Rolls. (You can tell by how old the recipe is-Yikes!) They are not only quick and easy but very hearty making them the perfect grab and go breakfast for Black Friday shopping.
If you are out shopping on Black Friday, stop and grab a pack of wonton wrappers for leftover magic. Use them to make four different dishes. Simply add 1 TBSP of leftovers to the wrapper, moisten edges with water, fold in half and tuck in sides to seal. Fry for fried wontons, steam for potstickers, cook in chicken broth with green onions for wonton soup, or boil for ravioli with a sauce of leftover gravy mixed with butter and wine.
